The Story

Aptly named, this gorgeous mixture of mauves, pinks and white will flower throughout the summer, attracting butterflies and bees. The flowers have a subtle, sweet, honey-like scent. Ideal for the back of a border or planted as a specimen plant. Tall plants that will provide years of pleasure. Flowers July-October. Height 2-2.5m (6'6"-8'). HP - Hardy perennial.

Sowing Information

Sow in trays of good quality, moist seed compost, 3mm (1/8") deep, in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 18-21C (65-70F). For best results chill the seed in airtight plastic bags in a fridge for 2-3 weeks before sowing. Transfer seedlings when large enough to handle into further trays spacing them 5cm (2") apart and grow on. Plant outside in late May-June, when frosts have finished, about 40cm (16") apart. Sow in Aug-Sept & overwinter under cover for earlier flowers the following year.
